Yulia Sion is a junior researcher at the Human-Computer Interaction group at the School of Digital Technologies, Tallinn University, and a visiting researcher at Cornell Tech, NY. In her research, she explores how haptic displays, embedded in wearable forms, may enable implicit communication and self-perception change. Additionally, she designs haptic solutions to communicate ambient information to people with visual impairments. She is a recipient of several ACM grants and a participant in STARTS.eu Arts & Science Residencies, sponsored by European Commission.
