Dario Pittera is a Behavioural Research Scientist and Neuropsychologist currently working at Ultraleap, company leader in hand tracking and mid-air haptic technology. He completed his PhD degree in 2019 at the University of Sussex studying embodiment and tactile illusions mediated by mid-air haptic technology. He completed part of his research as a Lab Associate at Disney Research, Pittsburgh, PA, US. Previously he was a visiting researcher at the Centre for Computational Neuroscience and Cognitive Robotics at University of Birmingham. He received his MSc in Clinical psychology, Developmental psychology, and Neuropsychology from the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, Milan, Italy. He is currently involved in multiple EU research projects pushing the future of mid-air haptics. His research interests include the perception of mid-air haptic technology through the use of psychophysical methods and UX techniques.
